The age of abundance

The technological interpretation of Age of Abundance is an idea envisioned by Peter Diamandis in which, he argues, technological progress would bring enormous amounts of untapped energy and resources to organizations and individuals. At the core lies the digital technologies and our interaction; discussing this idea, in a recent Big Think discussion, Prof. Michio Kaku commented on digital natives and digital divide in the context of business and education,

people talk about a digital divide, we’ll have the digital-raty and we’ll have the digital-poor.  That never materialized because […] If you’re not on the internet and you’re a kid, you don’t exist.

Question is, are we ready for the age of abundance? Read the Big Think talk synopsis here and watch the full video with transcript here; also see Peter Diamandis TED talk here.
