Food for thought (or Candy for the Soul)

Moving from the datasexual to a more serious note on digital-self, a recently published research from Harvard, entitled Disclosing information about the self is intrinsically rewarding, reveals that “we get approximately the same type of pleasure from talking about ourselves on social media as we do from having sex.”

Such hedonistic relationship with technology can lead to internet addiction disorder (IAD) which is now officially included in the upcoming DSM-V. And, we all know what happens when the candy is taken away.
